Description
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare authentic Italian dishes to high standards of taste and presentation. - Supervise and guide junior staff within your section for efficiency and consistency. - Contribute to creating new Italian menu items using seasonal produce and traditional techniques. - Oversee mise en place preparation, stock control, and assist with supplier ordering and deliveries. - Maintain highest standards of food hygiene and safety, in line with regulatory requirements. - Support training and development of junior team members, fostering a positive and professional work culture.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in Italian cuisine, minimum 3 years in a professional kitchen. - Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent. - Strong leadership and organizational abilities; able to perform under pressure. - Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about authentic Italian dining.
