Description
The Bellman provides exceptional guest service by assisting with check-ins, check-outs, luggage handling, and payment processing. They address guest inquiries, assist with special requests, and ensure smooth reservations and cancellations. Responsibilities also include performing night audits, preparing shift reports, and maintaining confidentiality of guest and company information. The Bellman follows safety protocols, works flexibly across departments, and demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude while adhering to company policies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage guest check-ins and room assignments, ensuring adherence to hotel rates, discounts, and upsell strategies, while accommodating special requests when possible. Assist with guest check-ins/check-outs, luggage handling, and process payments in line with cash handling, credit card processing, and accounting policies. Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, events, directions, local attractions, safety boxes, room keys, transportation, and other needs. Pre-register and block reservations, take same-day and future reservations, and handle cancellations in accordance with policies. Perform night audits during midnight shifts and prepare necessary reports. Ensure all guest and hotel information is handled in compliance with privacy policies and regulations. Maintain punctuality and professionalism, adhering to uniform and attendance standards. Attend department meetings, demonstrate a positive attitude, and communicate effectively with both guests and staff. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various departments as needed and comply with safety, security, and emergency procedures. Prepare shift reports, including details on any incidents, and follow up on any required actions. Participate in special projects, task forces, and any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum O-Level or equivalent Experience in hospitality or customer service (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to assist with luggage and guest requests Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays Positive and professional attitude Knowledge of hotel systems (a plus) Familiarity with local attractions (a bonus)
