Junior Sous Chef

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join an established all-day dining restaurant in Buona Vista. The role supports the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and leading the junior team. Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff supervision * Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistent quality standards * Support menu planning and contribute to the development of new dishes * Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on recipes and hygiene practices * Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines * Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize wastage * Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery * Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment care, and proper food storage

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in all-day dining or hotel restaurants * Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts preferred * Strong culinary and organizational skills with attention to detail * Proven ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team * Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
