Description
Our expanding organization is currently seeking a Sous Chef with a deep-seated enthusiasm for food, culinary arts, and the broader restaurant industry. Responsibilities and Duties
* Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring the consistent production of top-quality food. * Contribute to the research and development of new menu items, recipes, products, and operational methods, while also refining existing offerings. * Adhere to all organizational guidelines and protocols to guarantee compliance with all relevant legal requirements. * Set performance and growth objectives for members of the kitchen team. * Support the Head Chef in managing stock levels through timely ordering to maintain adequate inventory. * Follow established procedures for the correct storage of food and beverage items, inventory, and equipment, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing wastage. * Foster a collaborative team environment and promote excellent service through regular communication and coordination with other departments. * Work collaboratively with chefs at all levels within the kitchen. * Undertake additional tasks as instructed by management or relevant stakeholders. * Prepare food according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the kitchen. * Ensure that food hygiene, health, and safety standards are consistently monitored and improved to meet the requirements set by the relevant authorities.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A minimum of two years of experience within a comparable sector of the culinary industry. * Self-motivated with leadership qualities, focused on achieving results, and capable of learning quickly. * Proficient in balancing culinary skills with cost management considerations. * Creative and innovative in the development of new dishes. * Possesses a positive and engaging demeanor when interacting with both customers and colleagues. * Holds a relevant food hygiene certification recognized by local authorities.
