Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to manage the full spectrum of Accounts Payable. Responsibilities include data entry, processing vendor invoices and staff claims, verifying and reconciling invoices, and issuing payments to vendors. The role involves liaising with suppliers and internal departments, assisting in month-end closings, and ensuring timely payment processes. Candidates should be hands-on, meticulous, and flexible to handle additional ad hoc duties as required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage the full spectrum of Accounts Payable. Perform data entry and process vendor invoices and staff claims. Verify, match, and check invoices for accuracy and compliance. Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies. Prepare and issue cheques and payments to vendors. Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Assist with month-end closing activities. Oversee and ensure the timely processing of payments. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Possess at least a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the accounting field. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to perform effectively under pressure. Exhibits a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Responsible and adaptable to handle a variety of tasks. Familiarity with Synergix software is an advantage.
