Retail Store Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations, optimize processes, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring policy compliance, maintaining store standards, and collaborating on visual merchandising. You will recruit, train, and schedule staff to meet business needs, develop strategies to drive sales, and analyze performance metrics. Strong leadership, operational expertise, and a customer-focused approach are essential to excel in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversee daily store operations to ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience. Enhance retail processes to improve productivity and operational efficiency. Manage store administration, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, including goods receipt, transfers, and cashier balancing. Monitor, schedule, and order inventory to maintain accuracy and adequate stock levels. Conduct regular stock-taking exercises as required. Ensure the store is well-maintained and collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to optimize in-store displays. Plan manpower resources, schedule shifts, and manage staffing budgets to ensure optimal coverage aligned with peak periods. Recruit, coach, and develop a dedicated team of full-time and part-time staff committed to the brand’s vision and mission. Empower the team to deliver excellent and thoughtful customer service through training and mentorship. Create strategies to enhance customer experience, boost sales, and improve profitability through regular business reviews. Address and resolve issues related to staff or customers, including complaints and grievances.

Qualifications and Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in the retail industry, ideally within fast fashion. Minimum of 3 years managing retail teams, covering both front and back-of-house operations. Highly customer-focused with a passion for connecting with and understanding customers. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a retail team effectively. Proficient with numbers and technology. Flexible with shift work and available to work 5 days a week, including weekends and public holidays—weekends are when the magic happens!
