Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced culinary professional with strong leadership capabilities to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing kitchen operations, from menu conceptualization and cost management to ensuring food quality and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be adept at inspiring a team, managing resources efficiently, and maintaining high standards for both food preparation and presentation. This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to fostering a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Monitor and control expenditures while effectively managing the kitchen budget. * Provide strong leadership and motivation to the kitchen team. * Develop appealing menus that elevate the dining experience for customers while maintaining superior quality. * Prepare and present cost estimates for proposed menu items. * Offer insights and evaluations regarding the quality of bulk food purchases. * Ensure that all food preparation processes strictly adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines. * Create and implement standardized guidelines for the visual presentation of each dish. * Regularly monitor the stock levels of frequently used ingredients and supplies. * Identify and implement strategies to minimize waste and spoilage of less common items. * Oversee the hiring, training, and management of staff regarding proper kitchen sanitation practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Demonstrated ability to track and manage financial budgets effectively. * Proven experience in leading and motivating a culinary team. * Strong culinary skills with a talent for menu design and innovation. * Understanding of food costing principles and proposal development. * Ability to assess and provide feedback on food quality. * Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. * Experience in developing standardized presentation guidelines for dishes. * Proficient in inventory management practices. * Proactive in identifying and implementing waste reduction strategies. * Experience in hiring, training, and managing staff on sanitation protocols.
