Sous Chef

Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Cafe Chef to lead the preparation and creation of a variety of café-style dishes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting flavorful meals, developing inventive menus, and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety. You will play a key role in delivering a delightful culinary experience to our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, and other cafe staples. *Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and flavor of all food items served. *Develop and update creative, seasonal, and dietary-friendly menus to suit diverse customer preferences. *Monitor food inventory and stock levels, placing orders and managing ingredient supplies efficiently. *Follow all culinary techniques and food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Proven experience as a Chef in a café or similar food service environment. *Strong understanding of varied cooking methods, food preparation, and modern kitchen operations. *Experience in menu development, with a flair for creativity and innovation. *Knowledge of food hygiene standards and relevant certifications (e.g., Food Handler's Certificate) is a plus. *Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high attention to detail. *Excellent organizational and communication skills.
