A fantastic opportunity awaits a passionate and skilled culinary leader to helm the kitchen of our Japanese Izakaya restaurant. We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to craft authentic Japanese dishes for our valued guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, from menu conceptualization to the precise preparation of each dish.

Responsibilities and Duties

Take charge of all kitchen operations, including strategic menu planning and the meticulous execution of food preparation. * Skillfully handle a diverse range of raw ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality. * Effectively manage food inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock. * Work with meticulous attention to detail to accurately fulfill all orders while adhering to stringent quality standards. * Prepare food orders in an efficient and well-organized manner. * Lead the kitchen team in the preparation of all food items required for service. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures. * Be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to support business needs. * Step in and support various roles as needed to maintain excellent guest service and efficient operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in preparing authentic Japanese cuisine. * A comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. * Availability to work shifts during business hours, including weekends and public holidays. * Ability to converse in Japanese would be a significant advantage for communication with the headquarters in Japan. * Willingness to work 6 days a week.
