Sous Chef

Description

We are looking for a creative and skilled Café Chef to join our team and bring a passion for fresh, flavorful food to our café environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality dishes, developing diverse and appealing menus, and ensuring consistent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries, and other café-style favorites. *Ensure food quality, presentation, and flavor consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. *Develop and update menus that are creative, seasonal, and cater to various dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.). *Manage inventory and ingredient planning, maintain detailed stock records, and ensure timely procurement of supplies. *Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times. *Implement and follow proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Proven experience as a Chef in a café, bistro, or similar food service setting. *Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and modern café cuisine. *Creative flair with a focus on presentation, innovation, and flavor balance. *Excellent organizational and time management skills. *Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. *Knowledge of and commitment to food safety standards and regulations.
