Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized culinary professional to step into a Kitchen Supervisor role. In this position, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen during daily service. You will guide and support our kitchen team, maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee the kitchen team during daily operations, ensuring food is prepared promptly and efficiently. * Verify that all dishes are prepared according to our established recipes and presentation guidelines. * Monitor portion sizes and ensure consistency across all kitchen stations. * Support the Deputy Executive Chef in implementing menu specifications and kitchen procedures. * Assign tasks to kitchen staff and help organize workflows for seamless service. * Guide and support junior chefs and cooks to ensure they complete their tasks accurately. * Assist in onboarding new kitchen team members by demonstrating preparation techniques and safety protocols. * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen area. * Ensure adherence to all hygiene, food handling, and safety standards in compliance with local regulations. * Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. * Assist with daily checks of stock levels and ensure proper storage of all ingredients. * Monitor food usage and actively work to minimize waste through effective preparation practices. * Support inventory management by keeping senior chefs informed of stock levels and when replenishment is needed. * Communicate effectively with the service team and other departments to ensure smooth coordination. * Report any issues or challenges encountered in the kitchen to the Deputy Executive Chef. * Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving kitchen operations and the presentation of our dishes when appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in a kitchen environment with demonstrated leadership potential or prior supervisory experience. * Solid understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. * A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. * Good organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and workflows effectively. * Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with a diverse team. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment. * A keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation.
