We are seeking a talented and dedicated culinary professional to step into a vital supporting role within our dynamic food and beverage/catering and event organization. As a Sous Chef/Assistant Head Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef, playing a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. This is a permanent opportunity based in Senoko, offering a chance to contribute to high-quality culinary experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Head Chef in the comprehensive oversight of all kitchen activities, ensuring seamless workflow. * Oversee the acquisition, receipt, and proper storage of all food ingredients, maintaining stringent quality control. * Monitor the quality and consistency of all prepared dishes to guarantee they meet our high culinary standards. * Regularly inspect the freshness, presentation, and serving temperature of food before it reaches our guests. * Implement effective strategies for food portioning, serving, and procurement to minimize waste, adhering to our operational guidelines. * Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the kitchen environment. * Ensure the efficient storage and full utilization of all perishable items to reduce spoilage. * Maintain the freshness of all ingredients and diligently monitor their expiration dates to prevent the use of compromised products. * Undertake additional tasks as directed by management to optimize kitchen operations. * Perform other related duties as assigned by the management team. * Be available to work during busy periods, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Possession of a professional certification in culinary arts, NITEC, or other relevant culinary qualifications. * A minimum of three years of practical experience in preparing both Western and Asian culinary styles. * Demonstrated flexibility to work during peak service times, encompassing weekends and public holidays.
