Commis Chef / Cooks / Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic individual to join our kitchen team, working closely with section chefs and senior staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced culinary environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Work under the direction of the section chef and senior kitchen personnel. * Execute tasks and follow instructions with precision and to established standards. * Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen workspace. * Prepare ingredients, ensuring they meet the required quality benchmarks. * Assist in maintaining consistent food preparation and adherence to recipe specifications, subject to senior staff approval. * Contribute to ordering and stock rotation processes. * Prepare the mise en place sheet for daily briefings as instructed. * Actively work to reduce food waste. * Pursue continuous improvement of culinary skills through training and personal development. * Complete any additional tasks assigned by the kitchen management. * Adhere to all staff conduct guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum of one year of experience in a comparable kitchen position. * Proficiency in the safe operation of kitchen equipment. * Fundamental understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols. * Ability to work efficiently and rapidly in a dynamic setting. * Demonstrated punctuality, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
