Responsibilities and Duties
* Direct and supervise all aspects of kitchen activities, guaranteeing consistent quality, imaginative culinary creations, and flawless execution of dishes. * Create and enhance menu selections, seasonal specials, and personalized omakase journeys in partnership with the management. * Procure top-tier ingredients and cultivate strong, reliable relationships with suppliers. * Lead, educate, and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen personnel to achieve peak performance and uphold stringent standards. * Manage food expenses, inventory control, kitchen cleanliness, and overall operational effectiveness. * Embody and promote the establishment's culinary ethos to both patrons and the kitchen team. * Interact with guests on occasion, particularly during omakase service, to elevate their dining experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Demonstrated professional history as an Executive Chef or Head Chef, preferably within upscale Japanese dining, sushi, or omakase-focused settings. * Extensive knowledge of Japanese culinary traditions, seasonal produce, and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. * Robust abilities in leadership, mentorship, and team development. * A strong passion for hospitality, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to ongoing culinary innovation. * Excellent organizational and communication proficiencies. * Capacity to excel in a dynamic and rapidly changing work environment. * Proficiency in the Japanese language is advantageous but not a mandatory requirement.
