We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the kitchen team of our Japanese restaurant located in Holland Village on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in a culinary environment, as no prior experience is necessary – comprehensive training will be provided. The Junior Chef will assist in various kitchen tasks, contributing to the preparation and presentation of our non-Halal Japanese cuisine. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist senior chefs in the preparation of Japanese dishes. * Learn and apply fundamental Japanese cooking techniques. * Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen workspace. * Follow instructions and recipes accurately. * Support the team in ensuring efficient kitchen operations. * Adhere to all hygiene and food safety standards. * Be willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A genuine enthusiasm for working in a kitchen environment. * No prior kitchen experience is required; training will be provided. * Possession of a food handlers certification would be advantageous but is not mandatory. * Willingness to work part-time hours, typically from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, 5 days a week. * Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively. * A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
