We're seeking passionate and hardworking culinary professionals to contribute to the daily preparation of nutritious and delicious meals for our students. As a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a diverse menu, while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities and Duties

Meal Preparation and Production: Participate in the daily production of a wide range of hot lunches, sandwiches, deli items, and other menu offerings. Prepare food according to established recipes and guidelines. Operational Support: Assist with stock management, ensuring proper rotation and inventory control. Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure efficient and timely meal service. Follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned by senior chefs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Culinary Skills and Experience: Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality. Hygiene and Safety Awareness: Understanding of and commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work in a school canteen environment. Ability to adapt to different kitchen environments and menu requirements. Location Preferences: Applicants should indicate their preferred working location: Pasir Ris/Elias, Bukit Merah/Depot Road, or Fort Canning/Coleman Street. Dietary Considerations: Applicants should be aware that kitchens 1 and 2 are not Halal-certified but do not handle pork or lard, and most ingredients are Halal. Kitchen 3 handles pork and alcohol.
