A seasoned culinary professional is sought to fill a pivotal role within our kitchen brigade, contributing significantly to the crafting of authentic Italian culinary experiences. This individual will partner closely with the Executive Chef, ensuring the seamless operation of our kitchen and the unwavering delivery of exceptional dishes. This position demands a blend of expert cooking skills, leadership acumen, and a deep understanding of Italian culinary traditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Play a supportive role to the lead kitchen manager in daily activities. * Prepare and cook top-tier Italian meals, maintaining a high level of quality and uniformity. * Guide and educate junior kitchen staff, promoting a cooperative and productive atmosphere. * Monitor the preparation and presentation of food to uphold our establishment's quality expectations. * Adhere to all food safety and cleanliness guidelines. * Work together with the culinary team to create innovative menu options and daily specials. * Handle stock levels and place supply orders as required. * Observe and report any issues with kitchen tools and appliances. * Participate in menu development and cost management strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A decade or more of professional cooking experience, with a focus on Italian food preparation. * Demonstrated ability to lead and manage in a high-pressure kitchen setting. * In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols. * Strong communication and organizational abilities. * Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
