Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting

Description

We are looking for a committed professional to oversee and manage essential accounting operations while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. This position requires a robust background in accounting, financial analysis, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Act as a principal contributor in the management of daily accounting activities. - Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journal entries, and supporting documentation to guarantee accuracy and compliance with standards. - Supervise the month-end, half-year, and year-end closing activities, including the reconciliation of General Ledger accounts such as Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Cash, and intercompany transactions. - Create and submit quarterly financial reports, budget plans, and presentations that include variance analysis. - Develop and manage cash flow forecasts, fixed deposits, and bank account administration. - Coordinate the submission of government financial statistical surveys/data and regulatory returns. - Ensure compliance with Capital Markets Services (CMS) license requirements and manage regulatory filings. - Prepare and file GST returns and corporate tax documents in accordance with local tax regulations. - Oversee transfer pricing arrangements to ensure compliance with regulations. - Build relationships with external stakeholders, including internal/external auditors, corporate secretarial agents, and tax consultants. - Lead the annual audit process by preparing audited financial statements and required schedules. - Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify areas for process enhancements that improve the efficiency of financial operations. - Provide strategic insights as part of the Finance leadership team to influence the direction of the Finance function. - Supervise the preparation and review of payments, billings (including inter-company transactions), and employee claims. - Ensure accurate maintenance of company financial records in line with local Financial Reporting Standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred or a comparable combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles. - At least 5 years in a managerial or senior contributor position within a brokerage, wealth management, or similar environment. - Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks, corporate taxation, financial reporting standards (SFRS), and GST compliance. - Skilled in managing cash flow projections, transfer pricing, and preparing financial statements. - Willingness to engage directly with operational details while contributing to high-level strategic decisions. - Proven ability to identify solutions for significant business challenges in dynamic environments.
