Responsibilities and Duties
- Overall Kitchen Management: - Direct and maintain all kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. - Oversee the preparation of hot and cold dishes, adhering to precise specifications and customer requests. - Contribute to the creative process by assisting in menu and recipe development. - Team Leadership and Development: - Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Ensure consistent work performance by providing clear guidance and feedback. - Quality and Compliance: - Maintain rigorous quality control standards, ensuring impeccable food presentation and taste. - Guarantee proper handling and storage of all food items, adhering to established standards and sanitation regulations. - Assist in all operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of all food service. - Cost Control: - Maintain control of food costs by careful planning and execution.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Culinary Expertise and Experience: - A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen setting. - Proficiency in preparing a wide range of hot and cold dishes. - A solid understanding of menu planning and recipe development. - Leadership and Team Management Skills: - Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain consistancy in staff performance. - Compliance and Certification: - Possession of a basic food hygiene certificate (or equivalent). - Possession of a food hygiene audit certificate is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
