Description

The Finance & Accounting role involves preparing and reviewing the branch’s MAS regulatory reports and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. Key responsibilities include assisting in monitoring daily regulatory ratios, preparing journal entries, reviewing Nostro reconciliations, and providing financial data to Head Office. The role also supports tax-related matters, including corporate tax computation and GST issues, and aids in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit documentation. Additionally, the position assists in consolidating operating budgets, reviewing business expenses, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within the department.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare and review the Branch’s MAS regulatory reports, making necessary adjustments. * Work with Head Office teams and system vendors to maintain automated MAS Reporting solutions. * Monitor daily regulatory ratios and requirements (e.g., Asset Maintenance Ratio, MLA & MCB). * Prepare daily regulatory reports for the branch. * Assist with journal entries and manage detailed subaccount ledgers. * Ensure compliance with Accounting Policy and Head Office requirements, including invoice and receipt checks. * Review Nostro reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. * Assist with corporate tax computation and GST-related matters. * Provide financial data to Head Office for asset-liability monitoring and regulatory requirements. * Assist in preparing year-end financial statements and supporting documents for auditors. * Help consolidate branch operating budgets and review business expenses. * Support process improvement initiatives and other financial reporting matters as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience with Singapore bank regulatory and financial reporting is preferred. * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. * Proficient in Excel. * Capable of working independently and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. * Positive attitude, strong team player, and willing to collaborate across teams. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, including Head Office teams in Taiwan.
