Assistant Manager, Business and IT Internal Audit

Description

This crucial role plays a vital part in safeguarding the company's financial health and operational integrity. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulations, and identifying areas for improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Conduct internal audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures for financial, operational, and compliance processes. * Assess IT General Computer Controls (ITGC) and application controls to ensure adherence to organizational policies, industry regulations, and best practices. * Perform additional assignments as directed by the Head of Internal Audit, including advisory reviews and investigations. * Document audit findings clearly and concisely in work papers to support audit conclusions. * Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to management and stakeholders, outlining findings, risks identified, and valuable recommendations for improvement. * Track the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding audit issues. * Assist in rolling out the company's continuous auditing program by leveraging data analytics techniques. * Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, preferably within the real estate or hospitality industry. * High ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the audit process. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address internal control weaknesses. * Possess a strong understanding of business processes, IT general controls, internal auditing standards, and data analytics/visualization techniques. * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues within the internal audit department and across other departments. * Proficiency in audit software and tools. Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., R, SAS, ACL, IDEA, QlikView, Tableau, SpotFire) and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL) is a plus. * Willingness to travel for work (20-40%).
