Responsibilities and Duties

* Culinary Excellence & Preparation: - Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese dishes according to established recipes and plating standards. - Ensure consistent taste, texture, and visual appeal for all food items. - Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation. * Station Management: - Efficiently manage and oversee the daily operations of your assigned kitchen section. - Ensure all food orders are prepared and dispatched promptly during service. - Maintain an impeccable, organized, and fully stocked workstation at all times. * Team Collaboration & Support: - Work closely with Sous Chefs, Head Chefs, and other kitchen personnel for smooth operations. - Provide guidance and hands-on training to junior team members as needed. - Foster a collaborative and harmonious work environment. * Inventory & Cost Control: - Monitor ingredient freshness and accurately track stock levels. - Assist with inventory ordering to prevent shortages while minimizing food waste. - Contribute to effective food cost management strategies. * Food Safety & Hygiene: - Strictly adhere to all food safety guidelines, industry regulations, and hygiene protocols. - Ensure all food preparation, cooking, and storage areas consistently meet stringent sanitation standards. * Menu & Innovation: - Support senior chefs in developing new dishes and testing innovative menu items or seasonal specials. - Contribute creative ideas to enhance the culinary offerings. * Operational Adherence: - Commit to working flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by kitchen operations. - Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in all culinary processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience & Skills: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen, with a strong focus on Chinese cuisine. Proven ability to prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Chinese dishes. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients. Excellent knife skills and precision in food preparation. * Work Ethic & Attitude: Possess a genuine passion for cooking and a strong desire to continually grow your culinary expertise. Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of effectively multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Exhibits a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a results-oriented approach. Excellent team player with a collaborative mindset, thriving in a dynamic team setting. * Leadership & Communication (for Senior Chef de Partie): Ability to supervise and guide junior kitchen staff effectively. Good communication skills to interact seamlessly with colleagues and superiors. * Hygiene & Safety: Solid knowledge and understanding of comprehensive food safety and hygiene standards. Possession of a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) is preferred. * Availability & Adaptability: Ability to commit to flexible working hours, including rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Demonstrated capability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and learn new skills efficiently. * Other Qualities: Meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
