In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Review and analyze reconciliation reports for bank accounts, accounts payable, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts. * Process and manage bank payments to ensure timely and accurate transactions. * Contribute to a smooth and efficient month-end closing process. * Prepare monthly reports and other financial analyses to support informed decision-making. * Provide insightful financial advice and proactive support to management and business operations. * Draft financial statements and assist with tax computations. * Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries to facilitate statutory reporting requirements. * Continuously identify and implement improvements to financial processes. * Maintain a strong internal control system and adhere to best practices in corporate governance. * Assist in developing new financial processes and implementing new systems when required. * Take on additional duties or projects assigned by management to contribute to the company's success.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or banking, and/or a relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA). * 1 to 2 years of experience in a financial accounting or related role. * Strong interest in staying current with developments in the financial industry, particularly regulatory and technical updates (e.g., IFRS, tax regulations, domestic regulatory changes). * Prior experience in financial services or fintech companies is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including using functions like lookups, pivot tables, and conditional formulas. * Self-motivated, meticulous, and highly organized with a strong team player mentality. * Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities beyond your initial job scope to solve problems effectively. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with strong reading comprehension and conversational abilities.
