Description
An automotive distribution company is seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead and direct the sales team, achieving established sales and revenue objectives. This role encompasses the development and execution of sales strategies, oversight of sales operations, maintenance of excellent customer satisfaction, and the promotion of corporate sales growth.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement sales strategies, providing direction and oversight of sales-related activities to ensure consistent business expansion. - Generate sales forecasts and assess sales strategies and actions to achieve revenue targets and maintain a competitive market position. - Establish and develop business plans, directing operational activities to meet annual sales and profit goals. - Oversee the sales department's operational and administrative functions, including budget management, system requirements, and staffing for sales, reception, vehicle handling, and new vehicle delivery teams. - Determine training requirements for personnel in sales, reception, vehicle handling, and new vehicle delivery roles. - Design, implement, and evaluate sales action plans and promotional campaigns. - Ensure the retail space is professionally presented with appropriate display and demonstration vehicles. - Continuously assess and refine existing workflows, procedures, and the customer experience to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. - Provide effective leadership, direction, and support to teams to fulfill customer needs and achieve sales targets. - Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure adherence to targets set by the principal. - Ensure consistent and accurate data input and updates by the sales team within the customer relationship management system. - Ensure all planning, activities, tracking, and reporting are performed accurately and promptly. - Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues related to sales transactions. - Promote growth in corporate sales, including business-to-business transactions, diplomatic sales, fleet sales, corporate programs, and government bidding. - Utilize skills in sales team leadership, account management, and client needs analysis for existing corporate accounts. - Provide support for sales activities concerning product information, pricing, and inventory management. - Manage product competitiveness, pricing strategies, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance. - Oversee order processing, track shipments, and manage inventory levels. - Provide logistical coordination for vehicles required for events and training activities. - Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification. - Preferably two to three years of management experience within a related industry. - Sound business judgment and excellent problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, interpersonal communication, leadership, and relationship development. - A positive and proactive work attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, resourcefulness, and a high level of dedication and motivation.
