Retail Supervisor

Description

The Retail Store Supervisor supports the store's profitability and Key Performance Indicators by delivering customer service that reflects Under Armour's core values. As part of the store leadership team, this role ensures operational excellence and serves as a coach and mentor to teammates within a designated area or department. Acting as the primary leader when the Assistant Store Manager is unavailable, the Retail Store Supervisor may also be responsible for opening and closing the store.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Sales & KPI Achievement: Support in driving sales and meeting retail/omni KPI targets. * Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information on a wide range of technical products and offer solutions based on customer needs. * Training & Mentoring: Train teammates to deliver Under Armour’s unique service and selling culture, and share core/seasonal product knowledge. * Sales & Loyalty: Use expertise to drive sales and athlete loyalty within the designated area (DOR). * Operational Excellence: Lead daily operations in line with Under Armour processes and policies. * Merchandising Standards: Partner with store leadership to maintain visual merchandising standards and floor sets. * Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to all UA policies, including Loss Prevention, and report unusual activity. * Stock Lead Responsibilities: Assume Stock Lead duties when absent and oversee stock-related operations. * Safety & Reporting: Communicate accidents or injuries to store leadership immediately and maintain store safety standards. * Sales Targets: Communicate sales priorities and KPI targets to teammates to achieve goals. * Support UA Strategies: Monitor sales trends and provide feedback on opportunities to improve sales. * Onboarding & Training: Assist in onboarding and continuous training with Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Retail Operations Team, and HR. * DOR Leadership: Lead or support a Division of Responsibility (DOR) to enhance store efficiency (e.g., Athlete Experience, Merchandising, Brand, Operations)

Qualifications and Requirements

* 1-3 years of experience in a customer-focused retail environment within the sports or fashion industry. * Exposure to supervisory roles and responsibilities. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills. * Proficient in the local language, with basic verbal English skills. * Basic people management skills, with the ability to mentor, track teammate development, and provide guidance. * Proficient in using computers and various technologies. * Effective communicator with athletes, teammates, and leadership. * Adaptable to new methods and ideas in the workplace. * Knowledgeable in store operations, visual merchandising, stock management, risk management, and safety. * Moderate understanding of industry and retail operations, applying knowledge to problem-solving. * Advanced selling experience and a deep understanding of the industry. * Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends. * Ability to align individual tasks with store goals and responsibilities. * Capable of performing key tasks necessary for the store’s daily operations. * Able to identify and escalate issues to leadership when necessary. * Exercises sound judgment in daily operations and provides effective solutions to challenges.
