Description
This role is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial transactions within the company. The Accounts Executive will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, from processing daily transactions to preparing financial statements.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Process and record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes effectively. * Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and filed for accurate record-keeping. * Reconcile bank statements with company accounts to ensure accuracy. * Conduct regular reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts. * Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records. * Independently handle month-end and year-end closing activities. * Prepare key financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. * Provide detailed financial data to support management decision-making. * Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, GST, and other regulatory filings. * Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and legal regulations. * Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. * Monitor budget variances and report discrepancies.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma or relevant certifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. * Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and solve accounting problems effectively. * Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and other relevant financial tools. * communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders. * Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently. * Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting. * Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * High level of integrity and transparency in handling financial matters.
