Account Payable Officer

Description

This role involves leading and managing the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and reimbursements, maintaining financial records, generating reports, and driving departmental efficiency. The individual will also be responsible for fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Direct, support, and assess the performance of the accounts payable team members. * Verify data and process various vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements. * Oversee the daily operations of the department to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks. * Maintain detailed and accurate financial records and client information. * Compile, analyze, and present financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders. * Establish and drive the attainment of departmental objectives. * Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, clients, and vendors. * Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and internal controls, promoting accuracy and efficiency. * Develop standardized processes to improve internal efficiency, including the creation of templates for company-wide use.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP software is considered a benefit. * Strong planning and problem-solving skills. * Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
