Description
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Receivable Executive to handle and oversee the timely collection of outstanding payments and invoices. This role is crucial in maintaining a steady cash flow by efficiently managing the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment collections, and follow-ups.
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare and issue invoices to customers in accordance with contracts or agreements. Verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring correct terms and pricing. Maintain detailed records of invoicing activities. Track outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments via phone, email, or written communication. Collaborate with customers to address payment disputes or discrepancies professionally. Record and allocate received payments in the accounting system. Reconcile customer accounts to maintain accurate outstanding balance records. Generate aging reports and analyze account statuses to identify collection issues. Work with departments like sales and customer service to resolve account discrepancies. Monitor customer credit limits and ensure compliance with company credit policies. Evaluate credit risks and recommend adjustments to credit terms for high-risk customers. Prepare regular accounts receivable reports, including aging and collections performance updates. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Keep detailed records of all customer communication regarding payments. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Assist with audits and internal reviews by providing accurate accounts receivable data. Update management on customer account statuses and credit limit adherence.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2-4 years in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role. Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., D365) is advantageous. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools (Word, Outlook, etc.). Organizational Skills: Excellent time-management abilities and attention to detail. Problem-Solving: Capable of analyzing and resolving payment discrepancies effectively. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with customers and internal stakeholders. Work Under Pressure: Ability to handle deadlines and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
