We're seeking passionate and dedicated culinary professionals to join our team, preparing meals for an international school community. As a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef, you'll be involved in producing a variety of dishes, from hot lunches to sandwiches, and contributing to the smooth daily operation of our kitchen. This is a chance to be part of a team delivering nutritious and appealing meals in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Clean and sanitize work areas at the beginning and end of each shift. * Ensure all utensils and equipment are clean, functional, and ready for use in food preparation. * Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including peeling, cutting, and washing fruits, vegetables, and seasoning meats. * Gather necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment before preparing menu items for the day. * Practice proper portioning techniques using ingredients and equipment to minimize waste. * Assist in maintaining records of inventory and supplies. * Support the implementation of daily Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HACCP, food hygiene, sanitation, and other guidelines. * Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous experience in catering, cafeterias, or similar high-volume food production settings. * Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene, and Food Allergens. * Familiarity with HACCP principles. * Proficiency in hot and cold kitchen preparation and cooking techniques. * Understanding of Workplace Safety and Health procedures for kitchen operations. * Skills in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. * Ability to multitask, manage changing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. * Attentive, meticulous, and possesses problem-solving abilities. * Proactive and detail-oriented. * Positive, self-motivated, and energetic. * Maintains a professional appearance and attitude. * Proven team player, comfortable working with individuals from diverse nationalities and cultures. * Competent in using computers.
