Description

We are looking for a skilled South Indian Chef with deep expertise in Andhra cuisine to take charge of day-to-day operations in the South Indian section of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be passionate about traditional Indian flavors, have strong attention to presentation, and maintain high kitchen hygiene standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to deliver consistent, high-quality South Indian dishes that delight our guests.

Responsibilities and Duties

Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation *Lead the South Indian section, with a focus on authentic Andhra-style cuisine. *Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of South Indian dishes according to restaurant standards. *Follow detailed recipes and plating guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and presentation. *Collaborate with the Head Chef and team to improve existing dishes and introduce seasonal specials. Hygiene & Food Safety *Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen in line with local authority health and safety regulations. *Ensure proper food handling, labeling, and storage to preserve freshness and quality. *Take initiative in maintaining cleanliness in your section and ensure sanitization of workstations and tools. Team Collaboration & Flexibility *Work cooperatively with all kitchen staff, promoting a supportive and efficient working environment. *Be adaptable and ready to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Chef. *Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of kitchen operations and timely meal preparation.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Minimum 3–5 years of experience specializing in South Indian/Andhra cuisine. *In-depth knowledge of traditional South Indian spices, techniques, and flavor profiles. *Proven ability to maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety protocols. *Excellent attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. *Strong teamwork and communication skills. *Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
