Description
We are seeking a dedicated culinary leader to spearhead all facets of our kitchen's daily operations. This role demands a professional with a passion for excellence, ensuring top-tier food safety, quality, and service. Responsibilities and Duties
* Oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety protocols, and maintaining consistent quality standards. * Direct the food preparation process with efficiency and professionalism. * Develop innovative menu items, incorporating both established and novel culinary techniques. * Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes before they reach customers. * Create a dynamic menu that reflects seasonal availability and business needs. * Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional culinary proficiency. * Manage kitchen inventory, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization. * Forecast and manage staffing needs, ensuring appropriate coverage while controlling labor costs. * Procure, store, and handle food supplies within budget, maximizing profitability. * Ensure efficient mise en place and base food preparation for seamless service. * Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, punctuality, and payroll. * Strictly enforce all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations. * Stay current with emerging culinary trends, techniques, and technologies. * Verify that staff adhere to all hygiene, stock rotation, storage, temperature control, pest control, equipment maintenance reporting, illness reporting, and absence reporting guidelines. * Maintain and update recipe files as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field. * Minimum of five years of experience in a chef leadership role. * Completion of relevant food safety and hygiene certifications. * Demonstrated expertise in managing kitchen operations. * Strong communication and leadership capabilities. * Ability to learn quickly and apply logical and analytical problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in using restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
