Responsibilities and Duties

* Create and prepare pastry menu items according to the guidance of the lead chefs. * Contribute to the development of new pastry menus, keeping an eye on emerging food trends and innovative serving styles. * Guarantee swift and efficient service, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of pastry orders. * Share expertise by demonstrating and instructing fellow cooks in pastry preparation and baking techniques. * Compile and manage all pastry orders for the assigned section, maintaining quality and cost standards. * Verify and record all stock, deliveries, and waste, adhering to the establishment's food standards. * Execute and maintain consistent recipes, cooking methods, and presentations to ensure uniform quality. * Maintain a working knowledge of food costing, sales trends, and menu planning. * Implement controls to reduce food and supply waste, and prevent theft. * Ensure that all kitchen areas maintain impeccable sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards. * Conduct regular stock checks of ingredients, utensils, supplies, and equipment within the assigned pastry section.
