We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Managing Director to lead the Japanese Client Sales Department within the Global Markets Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing client relationships, and ensuring the department's success in the competitive Asian market.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Develop and lead the department's business plan, identifying new revenue opportunities and building a strong customer and revenue base aligned with the overall bank's vision. * Conduct in-depth market analysis, review department performance, and identify both growth opportunities and potential risks. * Monitor and assess the impact of economic and regulatory changes on the department's operations. * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both within the bank and externally. * Partner with colleagues across all regions to share best practices, deliver integrated regional services to clients, and develop new business opportunities. * Collaborate with Compliance to assess new products, ensure adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements, and contribute to cross-border matrix initiatives to mitigate compliance risks.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or higher. * Minimum 12 years of experience in Global Markets, with a strong focus on Sales & Trading of Derivatives and FX products. In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape within the Interest Rate Derivatives market is essential. * Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese is mandatory, as Japanese is the primary working language. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others. Proven leadership and people management skills are essential. * A proactive, motivated, and results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of local regulations.
