Description

The Guest Services Officer is responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience by managing check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries. This role involves fulfilling special requests, coordinating with other departments like housekeeping, and ensuring guest information is accurately updated in the Property Management System. The Guest Services Officer also handles billing, addresses complaints, and assists with VIP or group arrivals. Responsibilities and Duties

* Register hotel guests into the system, prioritizing the fulfillment of guest requests and following specific handling instructions, while adhering to credit policies and procedures. * Assign and block rooms for arriving guests, taking into account special requests, and pre-register VIPs, individuals, or groups. * Collaborate closely with Housekeeping to ensure special requests are fulfilled and follow up as needed. * Ensure all guest information is accurately updated and organized in the Property Management System. * Use the Property Management System to generate shift and daily reports. * Process guest check-outs in accordance with hotel procedures, handle billing adjustments, and post charges appropriately. * Address and report guest complaints to the Guest Services Supervisor. * Communicate with Supervisors to keep them informed about hotel operations and any relevant issues. * Be prepared to take on new tasks as assigned by Supervisors or Managers. * Confidently upsell rooms when appropriate.
