Description
The Senior Finance Executive will manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). Key responsibilities include overseeing the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, coordinating with external auditors for annual audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role also involves analyzing and managing corporate tax and GST submissions, ensuring timely invoicing, improving cash flow through effective accounts receivable strategies, and working closely with the business development team to reduce aged past dues.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions (GL, AP, AR). * Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements during month-end closing. * Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. * Conduct analysis and manage annual corporate tax and GST submissions. * Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and implement effective accounts receivable collection strategies. * Collaborate with Business Development team to reduce aged past due accounts.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, cost accounting, or cost control. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, cost accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques. * Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft Excel, Xero, and SAP. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and present insights effectively. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial data to stakeholders at all levels. * Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
