Description
We are seeking an experienced Chinese Cuisine Chef specializing in traditional BBQ dishes. The role includes menu development, kitchen operations management, team leadership, quality control, cost management, and innovation in Chinese BBQ. Responsibilities and Duties
* Design and develop authentic Chinese BBQ menus including Peking duck, char siu, roasted pork belly, and lamb skewers. * Oversee preparation, marination, roasting, and grilling of BBQ items. * Manage specialized BBQ equipment and implement standardized procedures. * Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to hygiene standards. * Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff on Chinese cuisine and BBQ techniques. * Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. * Collaborate with front-of-house teams to enhance customer dining experience. * Manage kitchen budgets, control food costs, and source high-quality ingredients. * Stay updated on culinary trends and adapt menus to modern dietary needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, with at least 3-5 years in Chinese BBQ. * Expertise in traditional Chinese cooking techniques and BBQ. * Hands-on experience with Chinese BBQ equipment. * Formal culinary training with certifications preferred. * Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. * Proven menu development and creative culinary abilities. * Attention to detail, quality control, and food safety knowledge. * Budgeting and cost management experience. * Cultural awareness and adaptability to different markets.
