Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

We are seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager. In this role, you will be integral to the smooth and effective day-to-day management and operation of the restaurant. You will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of the business, ensuring the consistent preparation and delivery of high-quality menu items according to established guidelines. Maintaining service speed, cleanliness, safety, and a positive atmosphere for our guests will be key responsibilities. You will also contribute to achieving financial targets and providing insightful reports on restaurant performance.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Contribute to the overall efficient and effective management and operation of the restaurant. * Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operational tasks. * Ensure all menu items are prepared and delivered according to specified food preparation and training guidelines. * Maintain consistent adherence to speed of service standards during your shifts. * Keep the restaurant clean and well-organized at all times while on duty. * Ensure the restaurant follows all food safety policies and procedures during your shifts. * Foster a positive dining experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for customers while managing the shift. * Report on the restaurant's sales performance for your shift as required by management. * Work towards achieving targets for the cost of goods sold, labor costs, and operating expenses during your shift, as set by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Strong skills in managing people and resolving conflicts effectively. * A friendly and approachable personality. * A willingness to learn and develop strong competence in various operational systems. * Demonstrated experience in sales and sales management, inventory oversight, and marketing coordination. * Comfortable with direct customer interaction and sales. * Ability to learn effective problem-solving and conflict management techniques. * Capable of coordinating information flow between operations and central offices. * A commitment to learning how to deliver and manage exceptional customer service. * Ability to learn how to communicate, influence, and interact effectively with diverse customers, vendors, and colleagues. * Experience in providing regular updates on recruitment efforts to management. * Eagerness to learn a broad range of sales-related skills, including planning and conducting effective sales interactions, understanding and exceeding customer needs, identifying sales opportunities, and managing inventory systems. * A desire to understand all facets of the business, its culture, and core values.
