Description
This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic kitchen team in a prime location, contributing to the preparation of high-quality dishes. You'll play a key role in maintaining kitchen standards, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth operations, while also having the chance to contribute to menu development.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Culinary Production: - Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistent taste and presentation. - Ensure all food that is served meets the highest standards. - Team Leadership and Coordination: - Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and maintaining a clean work environment. - Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service. - Inventory and Procurement: - Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory to ensure ingredient freshness and availability. - Menu Innovation and Quality Assurance: - Assist in the creation of new menu items and updates to existing dishes. - Ensure all dishes meet stringent standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene. - Compliance and Safety: - Adhere to and enforce all food safety and sanitation regulations within the kitchen.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: - Experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting. - Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment. - Skills: - Ability to supervise and coordinate junior kitchen staff - Knowledge of inventory management and procurement procedures. - Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. - Ability to contribute to menu development. - Work Requirements: - Ability to work a 5-day work week. - Ability to work overtime.
