Senior Accountant

Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Key duties include monthly account reconciliation, coordinating audits, and preparing documentation for external auditors. The role also involves cost management by recommending strategies to reduce costs and enhance revenue. The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with financial standards, prepares tax returns, and maintains the general ledger by verifying, posting, and reconciling transactions.

Responsibilities and Duties

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and comply with relevant regulations. Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations to maintain accurate records and ensure proper ledger maintenance. Audit Coordination: Compile necessary documentation for external audits and assist in the audit process. Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Compliance: Ensure all financial records adhere to established standards and regulatory requirements. Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and balance subsidiary accounts through transaction verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Experience: Multiple years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a preference for candidates with leadership experience. Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and strong communication skills.
