Description

This crucial role acts as a key business partner to the management team within a manufacturing facility, driving strong financial performance and ensuring robust internal controls. The Manufacturing Cost Controller will work closely with the management team to achieve operational excellence and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis. * Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, and the preparation of financial reports. * Analyze daily shipments, receipts, and direct labor hours to identify areas for improvement. * Actively participate in manufacturing operations to identify cost-cutting opportunities and drive process improvements. * Establish and monitor monthly targets for operational staff related to shipments, direct labor hours, and inventory levels. * Control operational costs, including operating supplies, repairs, and overtime. * Continuously assess and enhance productivity and efficiency across manufacturing processes. * Plan and schedule equipment acquisition and storage, considering factors like availability, costs, and future requirements. * Develop and generate regular reports on job accomplishments, personnel utilization, equipment utilization, sales, inventory, revenue, and associated costs. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of services, tools, and equipment. * Compare records with contracts and purchase orders, reporting any discrepancies to management. * Guide and direct staff activities to optimize efficiency and maximize profitability. * Review staff and equipment timesheets and ensure accurate financial dues. * Set and manage the production budget. * Adhere to all safety rules and company policies. * Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field. A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred. * Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or a related field. * Strong understanding and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Hyperion, Oracle, JD Edwards, or SAP. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various levels of management and across departments. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to translate detailed information into the bigger picture. * Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. * Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment. * Hybrid work arrangements may be available. * Company shuttle bus provided from the nearest MRT station.
