SALES DIRECTOR

Description

This leadership position is responsible for generating revenue growth within a specific geographic territory. This involves discovering and developing new business prospects, managing established client accounts, analyzing sales data to refine strategies, and leading a sales team to achieve performance goals. The role requires a solid understanding of sales principles, exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate sales personnel.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Consulting with current clients to explore avenues for business development, such as offering additional products or services. - Meeting with prospective clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities. - Analyzing sales information to determine the most effective sales tactics for different business types. - Participating in industry conferences and trade shows to connect with potential clients in person. - Identifying potential clients' requirements, interests, and challenges, then recommending appropriate solutions that fit their financial constraints and schedules. - Coordinating with internal departments to guarantee accurate processing of customer orders. - Nurturing relationships with existing clients to maintain current business and attract new clients. - Introducing new product offerings or services to existing clients to drive increased sales. - Creating training resources and managing the sales team to ensure they have comprehensive knowledge of the organization's offerings.

Qualifications and Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline. - Substantial experience in sales and sales leadership, ideally at a regional level. - A documented history of achieving sales quotas and driving revenue increases. - Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency with CRM systems and other sales-related technologies. - Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic region.
