Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in guiding the company's financial success. This senior leadership position oversees all financial operations, develops and executes financial strategies, and provides strategic financial guidance to senior management. The CFO is responsible for ensuring the company's financial health, mitigating risks, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring sound financial management and compliance. * Lead the financial planning process, analyzing performance, assessing risks, and developing financial forecasts. * Monitor the company's financial position proactively and implement preventive measures as needed. * Supervise the preparation and review of periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. * Conduct in-depth financial analysis, providing insightful reports and presentations to senior management and the board. * Develop and implement a comprehensive budget strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. * Collaborate with the investment team to make strategic financial decisions aimed at maximizing profitability and minimizing losses. * Ensure that all financial systems are robust, compliant, and support both current and future business growth. * Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. * Stay abreast of market trends and industry best practices to make informed financial decisions. * Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support long-term business growth and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Law, International Business, or a related field. * Professional certifications such as MSc/MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA are required. * Minimum of 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in senior finance roles. * Prior experience in technology/wealth or venture capital industries is highly preferred. * Extensive experience in senior-level accountancy, including directorship and board reporting. * Comprehensive understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices. * Expertise in areas such as receivables, payables, payroll, and treasury functions. * Proven experience managing a team responsible for accounting functions within an organization. * Familiarity with accounting practices for advanced technology businesses. * Experience in project-based accounting and finance business partnering. * Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) development accounting and capitalization rules for IP/intangible assets. * Mastery of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
