Description

Responsible for leading sales efforts for the hotel by strategically implementing effective sales activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Achieve or exceed all sales targets and objectives. * Assist the Director of Sales in managing the activities of the group sales team. * Identify and qualify new potential corporate accounts. * Maintain regular sales call patterns and service contacts through telemarketing, emails, or personal visits in designated areas/markets. * Conduct site inspections and entertain potential or existing accounts. * Stay informed about competitors' activities and offerings. * Engage with in-house guests through entertainment or courtesy calls to build rapport and gather feedback for repeat business. * Follow up with clients before and after events or corporate meetings to gather feedback and ensure future bookings. * Maintain constant communication with the Director of Sales, including submitting the Weekly Sales Call Plan Report. * Provide constructive suggestions on rate plans or promotional adjustments to stay competitive, boost bookings, and enhance sales efforts. * Actively participate in sales and revenue meetings, sharing relevant sales activity insights.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field. * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record in corporate and group sales. * Strong business acumen and ability to meet or exceed sales goals. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking skills. * Knowledge of the local market and competitors. * Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure and work independently. * Willingness to travel and attend client meetings, events, and networking functions. * Flexible to work on weekends and public holidays when required. * Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools is a plus.
