The individual will contribute to all aspects of food preparation, maintain a smooth kitchen workflow, and adhere to strict food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality benchmarks. * Ensure dishes are consistently prepared and presented to a high standard. * Work across different kitchen stations, including grilling, sautéing, and general prep, as needed. * Keep the work area clean and organized throughout service. * Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to comply with health regulations. * Assist in receiving and properly storing kitchen supplies and ingredients. * Minimize food waste through careful storage and portion control. * Collaborate with the lead chef and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service. * Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to facilitate timely order delivery. * Provide support in training newer kitchen staff members when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of one to two years of experience working in a food service kitchen setting. * A genuine enthusiasm for cooking and creating appealing food presentations. * The ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle pressure effectively. * A solid understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety principles. * A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certification is mandatory. * Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
