Description
A luxury hotel in the heart of Singapore is hiring a Pastry Cook 1 / Chef de Partie. The role involves preparing high-quality pastries, maintaining hygiene standards, training junior staff, and supporting the Sous Chef in operations and menu development. Responsibilities and Duties
* Prepare mise en place and pastries according to production plan and recipes * Check quality, storage, and handling of raw materials in assigned section * Train staff on pastry preparation, hygiene, and grooming standards * Support Sous Chef in new dish development and recipe testing * Attend meetings and update Sous Chef on section performance and issues * Ensure workstations and equipment are kept clean and in good condition
Qualifications and Requirements
* Completion of GCE ‘O’ Level, or equivalent education with minimum 1 year of pastry experience * Knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques, and recipe testing * Ability to manage inventory and maintain kitchen standards * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
