Description

The Accounts Executive (AP) is responsible for processing and recording vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Key tasks include liaising with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, following up with payment approvers, and monitoring petty cash. The role also involves reconciling bank statements, managing the full Accounts Payable cycle, and ensuring timely resolution of overdue items. Additionally, the Accounts Executive will assist with month-end and year-end activities, including GST filing, payroll, and P&L reporting, as well as supporting the Finance Team with administrative and ad-hoc tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Process and record vendor invoices accurately in the accounting system. * Ensure invoices align with company policies and comply with regulatory standards. * Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and clarify supporting documents. * Follow up with payment approvers to ensure timely completion of payments. * Track and verify petty cash transactions, maintaining accurate records. * Reconcile bank statements with accounts payable records. * Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all AP transactions. * Oversee the entire Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding or overdue items. * Assist in month-end and year-end closing, including GST filing, payroll, and P&L preparation. * Provide administrative support and assist with other ad-hoc tasks for the Finance Team.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent qualification. * At least 1 to 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in General Accounting (GA). * Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese. * Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills. * Skilled in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. * Demonstrates high integrity, a positive attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and is a team player.
