Description

We're searching for a dedicated Kitchen Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our bustling kitchen. This role demands a proactive individual who can cultivate a thriving culinary environment, maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety, and inspire a team to achieve peak performance. You'll be the linchpin of our kitchen, ensuring seamless operations and driving culinary innovation.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Operational Oversight and Team Leadership: - Directly report to the Senior Culinary Leader, providing regular updates and insights. - Maintain complete command of the kitchen, fostering a respectful and efficient work atmosphere. - Quickly identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring smooth workflow. - Optimize kitchen staff output through effective management and motivation. - Mentor and guide station chefs, enhancing their skills and maximizing team productivity. - Culinary Innovation and Quality Assurance: - Generate and implement fresh culinary concepts, creating new or refining existing menu items to boost sales. - Perform regular checks of workstations, ensuring adherence to presentation, quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards. - Guarantee consistent product specifications and adherence to company policies across all locations. - Inventory and Cost Management: - Execute bi-weekly stock assessments, maintaining accurate inventory levels. - Instruct the kitchen team on cost-effective practices while upholding recipe integrity, cooking techniques, and preparation protocols. - Utilize electronic procurement systems to order supplies and manage goods received. - Participate in quality control checks of incoming supplies and verify delivered items. - Personnel Management and Administration: - Conduct onboarding, training, and coaching for new kitchen employees. - Address disciplinary matters, conduct annual performance evaluations, and manage staff confirmations. - Develop and manage staff schedules and cleaning assignments. - Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures. - Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Significant experience in a kitchen management role, demonstrating a thorough understanding of kitchen operations. - Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop culinary teams. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure. - A creative culinary mindset with a passion for menu development. - In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices. - Proficiency in inventory control and cost management. - Experience using electronic procurement systems. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Ability to enforce company policy. - Ability to efficiently create and manage staff schedules.
