Restaurant Assistant Floor Manager

A dedicated and versatile individual is needed to support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining establishment. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, managing guest seating, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership potential.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant service. * Assume responsibility for the restaurant's operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Welcome and seat guests, ensuring appropriate table assignments based on group size. * Record and promptly report all food-related complaints to the Chef. * Conduct pre-service team briefings to ensure smooth service operations. * Cultivate a loyal customer base by providing personalized service and maintaining a customer database. * Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance of restaurant furnishings and equipment. * Participate in monthly physical stock takes of restaurant inventory, including glassware, plates, and crockery. * Assist the Restaurant Manager in developing and implementing staff training programs. * Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock. * Prepare daily operational reports in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. * Provide daily updates on restaurant operations to the Restaurant Manager. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* GCE O Level or equivalent educational qualification. * One to three years of related experience in food and beverage managerial positions. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively. * Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Potential for leadership and team management.
