Tax Manager (Gaming / Startup / Up to $8000)

Description

This crucial role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax compliance and strategy. The Tax Manager will work collaboratively across departments to ensure the company adheres to local and international tax regulations while optimizing tax efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Manage the preparation and timely filing of corporate tax returns, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other tax submissions as required by Singaporean tax laws. * Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize the company's tax burden and optimize its tax position. * Identify and evaluate potential tax-saving opportunities, providing recommendations to senior management. * Continuously stay updated on local and international tax legislation, regulations, and industry trends. * Conduct in-depth research on tax-related issues and provide actionable insights to management. * Coordinate and manage tax audits with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and other relevant authorities. * Prepare necessary documentation and responses to ensure a smooth audit process. * Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure tax strategies align with overall business objectives. * Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting potential risks, compliance status, and opportunities for tax optimization.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance or tax advisory. * Prior experience as a tax professional in international accounting firms is highly preferred. * Strong understanding of Singaporean tax laws, including corporate tax, GST, and transfer pricing. * Familiarity with international tax regulations is a plus. * Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. * Effective communication skills to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals. * Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
