Description

We're hiring a skilled and experienced Chef Supervisor to join our commercial kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume food production environment and is capable of taking charge in the absence of senior chefs. If you have strong culinary skills, good kitchen management experience, and are comfortable working across different kitchen sections, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Oversee meal preparation in line with production schedules, recipes, and dietary specifications *Step in confidently to lead production and make decisions when the Sous Chef is unavailable *Handle food ordering based on kitchen needs and ensure proper inventory management using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) *Enforce food safety protocols including HACCP standards and hygiene regulations at all times *Assist in staff scheduling and coordinate shift rosters when required *Monitor kitchen equipment and immediately report any faults or breakdowns

Qualifications and Requirements

*Proficient in using computers and kitchen-related software systems (e.g., food tracking systems, digital order sheets, and email communication) *Solid understanding of food hygiene regulations and safe food handling practices *Strong communication, decision-making, and team training skills *Willingness to rotate across different sections of the kitchen as needed *Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within hotels or high-volume food operations *Versatile in preparing a variety of cuisines *Experience working in large, multicultural kitchen teams *Willing to take a hands-on culinary test as part of the selection process *Open to shift-based work schedules, including weekends and holidays
